For the Environment
Prime Carbon’s CO2 capture and storage in soils can result in a dramatic increase in soil health, water efficiency, and biodiversity.
Indications are that a 1% increase in soil carbon is as beneficial as an additional 8 inches of rain per annum.
Soil carbon favours native species and strengthens the farmland ecology, encouraging new species of native plants, grasses, and beneficial insects, birds and animals. The Prime Carbon program offers Australian farmers the opportunity to increase their production while restoring essential nutrients and active soil microbiology to their greatest asset.
Rewarding farmers for meeting soil health benchmarks can also achieve Governments’ Natural Resource Management objectives at lower costs to the taxpayer, freeing funds for other important environmental projects.
