Landholders / Checklist - Am I eligible for the program?
Complete the following quick checklist to assess if your land may be eligible to be included in the Prime Carbon "Soil Enhancement and Carbon Sequestration Program".
Landholders need to be able to answer yes to each of the following questions or the statement needs to be true:
- Is the land greater than 150 hectares? (or are you part of a group of farms or urban area totalling 150 hectares)
- Are you, or the entity you represent, the owner of the land or do you, or the entity you represent, have the right to perform activities on the land?
- Will you, or the entity you represent, continue to be the owner of the land or to have the right to perform activities on the land for the next five years?
- The land has never previously been used in respect to the sequestration of carbon or in respect to the sale of soil carbon credits in the past.
- The land is not being used for forrestry generating other carbon units.
Note: The above checklist is simply a tool to assist Landholders to quickly assess if their land may be eligible to be included in the Prime Carbon “Soil Enhancement and Carbon Sequestration Program”. Prime Carbon reserves the right to decline any offers, agreements or land at its discretion.
